Join us for A Night of Cultural Elegance at our inaugural fundraising gala to support our work!

The African Center for Community Development is pleased to announce Ubuntu: The Spirit of Togetherness – a night of cultural elegance to benefit the African Center. Ubuntu, a call to action for collective empowerment, reminds us that our well-being is interconnected and that thriving communities are built through shared responsibility, compassion, and action in solidarity with one another. In order to uplift Africans and others in need next year, ACCD aims to raise $15,000 this fall. We invite you to be a part of this effort!

Every day, ACCD works to help African individuals and their families overcome these barriers to build economic stability, help their children thrive, and become active contributors to the social and economic life of our communities. Critical funding is needed to sustain and expand programs including:

• Employment and training for immigrant job seekers
• Bantaba culturally-relevant, trauma-informed discussion circles
• WisPAWN professional African women’s network
• Older adults social and cultural enrichment
• Case management services in more than 5 languages

‘Ubuntu: The Spirit of Togetherness’ will feature:

• An authentic Taste of Africa dining experience featuring cuisine from across the continent
• Dynamic cultural performances showcasing African music, poetry, dance, and storytelling
• Inspiring stories from community members whose lives have been transformed thru ACCD
• Opportunities to connect with local leaders, business owners, and community champions
• A shared commitment to creating opportunity, economic mobility, and belonging for all
