Bantaba Family Support Program
Through the ACCD Bantaba Family Support Program, we are creating safe spaces for dialogue and healing, leveraging local resources to provide holistic support. “Bantaba” is a Mandinka word meaning a gathering place for dialogue and collective empowerment. ACCD aims to provide a culturally sensitive, trauma-informed space for African immigrants to have open, honest discussions and peer-support sessions around issues such as gender equity, healthy masculinity, types of violence, violence prevention, and healthy communications.
If you would like to learn more about Bantaba or participate, send us a message or call us at:

We do not currently have any upcoming Bantaba meetings. More information will be posted here soon!
Here are the topics you can expect at Bantaba:

- Leadership & Relationship Building
- Healthy Masculinity

And here are the types of activities to expect:

Bantaba Family Support is open to African adults and teens looking to participate in open dialogue around family stability, safety, and well-being; share their life experiences and receive support; and increase their awareness of violence prevention strategies and crisis resources.
