We are pleased to share this upcoming event from our partners at the University of Wisconsin–Madison African Studies Program.
The African Studies Program invites the community to its annual Graduate Working Group Symposium, this year centered on the theme Intersectionality and the Interdisciplinary Future of African Studies.
This one-day symposium brings together graduate students, emerging scholars, practitioners and community members to explore how race, gender, class, ecology, technology, and culture are reshaping the future of African and Diaspora studies. From artistic practice to data science, oral traditions to policy analysis, this gathering models the kind of bold, boundary-crossing scholarship our communities deserve.
The event is open to the general public and no presentation required. Come curious, come connected.
Location: Ingraham Hall, Rooms 206 & 336 | UW–Madison Campus
Refreshments will be provided, along with free stickers and buttons while supplies last.
