Created by our high school volunteers, Back to Our Roots is a cultural festival for youth of African descent. This event highlights African cultures through food, music, education, and community. This event is not just about celebration, but also about reconnection—for the youth of African descent, for their peers, and for the next generation. Our back-to-school drive is a key part of this mission: we want to equip local youth not just with supplies, but with pride in where they come from and a strong sense of identity as they step into the school year. By blending celebration with support, Back to Our Roots reminds our youth that they belong, they matter, and their cultures are worth honoring.
